Cecil Laird of That Horror Show and Womp Stomp films have partnered up to produce Dylan's New Nightmare. A cathartic sequel to Wes Cravens New Nightmare. With professional production equipment, Dave McRae as Freddy Krueger, and Miko Hughes returning as Dylan Porter this team has managed to create one of the best fan films to date. The film catches up with Dylan Porter, the fictional son of Heather Langenkamp, and is a character study about how the events of New Nightmare have sat with Dylan over the years. A truly fantastic "fan film". The set design is impeccable. The mood, and atmosphere rivals the first Nightmare.

With that being said where does that leave the Hollywood Studio system? If a team of fans can form a group and produce a Studio quality film with the original actor is it still classified as a fan film? I feel for the production team, as I could only imagine the legal loopholes they had to jump through. Nevertheless bravo to That Horror Show, Womp Stomp Films, Cecil Laird, and Dave McRae for producing Dylan's New Nightmare!
