DCEU: The Universe Ranked

With the DCEU coming to an end I thought I'd put out my personal ranking of this universe. Such a bumpy ride. I was super excited after Batman v Superman came out, as I thought the dark/mature nature Zack Snyder brought out of these DC Heroes was something completely different from what Marvel was doing at the time. I thought it took alot of balls to put these characters through the ringer. They really had to earn their spots in the sunlight. Soon after the botch job the trailer editing company did with David Ayer's Suicide Squad (2016) it was clear to me this entire universe was at risk of being rebooted. AT&T (previous owners of WB) continued to meddle with these filmmakers movies. Not trusting them to do their jobs. Then came the hiring of Joss Whedon, which if you didn't know he completely decimated Zack Snyder's version of Justice League (2017). The mustache Superman is something that character will always have to live with. Soon after the release of JL (2017) we get rumors that Ben Affleck was not only leaving The Batman (2018) as director, but as the character as well. From that point on, I completely detached myself from thinking we would ever get some sort of cohesive universe where the Justice League was taking on missions from The Watchtower, and each heroes got their respective trilogies. Unfortunately corporate greed was the main driver of the DCEU. All of us fans were validated when Zack got to release his Snyder Cut. A moment in film history that will never be forgotten. I truly hope James Gunn's Superman Legacy (2025) sets a spark to a new Dc Universe that the entire world can enjoy.
